Postponed: #ReThink Evenings by CREA -17 August 2018, Delhi
As we all know, the state of Kerala and parts of South India are facing disastrous floods, which have caused extreme damage to life and property. Numerous people have been displaced and evacuated.
Two of our speakers for the event- Nalini Jameela and Dr. Reshma Bharadawaj, who were coming from Kerala, are unable to travel as the transportation is disrupted, airport and roads are closed and no other options are available. They also need to be with their families during this distressful time. Therefore, they will not be able to join us for the conversation tomorrow in Delhi.
The event - Conversation on Romance, Desire, Laughter and Rights in Sex Work, that was scheduled to take place on Friday, 17 August 2018, from 6 to 8 pm at Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan, New Delhi, has therefore been postponed till a later date.
We apologise for the last minute change and inconvenience caused to anyone. We thank you for the interest and support shown for this event through the many RSVP emails, shares and confirmations. We are committed to making this event happen at a later date. We will inform you once the programme is rescheduled and hope to see you then.
For now, we stand in solidarity with the people affected by the floods.
