Chiara Passuello

Program Anchor

Chiara Passuello

Chiara works at the intersection of technology, gender, and rights at CREA, supporting projects, partnerships, and collective spaces on emerging technologies, including AI. Her work focuses on how these technologies shape inequality and violence, especially for structurally excluded communities in the Global South, and on using intersectional feminist approaches to address digital harms and imagine more just engagements with technology.

Chiara is a human rights defender and gender justice professional with a background in law, policy, and governance. She holds a law degree from the University of Verona and a European Master’s in Human Rights and Democratization from the Global Campus of Human Rights and Utrecht University. Grounded in feminist, queer, and decolonial approaches, she centres gender justice and intersectionality in her work, drawing on experience across European and international research and policy contexts, including the Global Campus and the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA). In her free time, she loves music in all its forms.
