
We are delighted to present the project outcomes of the third edition of the Storytelling Initiative. Once again, we received an overwhelming response from applicants across the country, from which five exceptional storytellers were selected to work on four distinct outcomes. These thought-provoking pieces – varied in form, tone, subject and length – are a labour of love and we are delighted to have been a part of this process.
Between Silence and Survival is a reported long-form narrative that traces the lives of transgender and queer individuals in Srinagar and nearby towns.
Conversations in the Blind School Dormitory narrativizes the conversations, daily interactions and lives in the girls’ dormitory of a school for the blind in Mizoram.
Friends and Folk follows Belaku Studio, a recording studio in a remote village of Belgaum, which was founded to provide a platform for Dalit folk performers in North Karnataka.
