The essay describes the evolution of her identity, and that of countless others, through Kerala’s Kudumbashree programme which gave them a feminist impetus

Nimmi is an artist and writer based in Kerala. Her poems and illustrations have been published in various Malayalam journals. Creating art has always given her a sense of building space for herself. For her, art is an integral part of survival and healing. Her dream is to become a children's book artist.
